Lorna runs EcoPost - a company that manufactures durable fencing posts using plastic waste, an environmentally friendly alternative to timber. What started as an errand for her father inspired the beginning of a venture that would positively transform her life.
Lorna Rutto resigned her comfortable banking job in 2009 to start EcoPost, a small plastic recycling business. Her business uses plastic waste collected from dumpsites and garbage cans across Nairobi to manufacture fencing posts.
